Status Check
Whistleblower Program | Complainants are able to obtain general information on the status of their complaint. San Francisco Campaign and Governmental Conduct Code, Article IV, mandates that the Whistleblower Program conduct investigations confidentially. Therefore, complainants are not informed about the review of their complaint or the progress of any investigation that may follow. Notice of Protection from Retaliation: No City officer or employee may terminate, demote, suspend or take other similar adverse employment action against any City officer or employee because the officer or employee has in good faith filed a whistleblower complaint. An act of retaliation should be reported immediately to the Ethics Commission, which will investigate any such report.
