eMerge PeopleSoft is an integrated Human Capital Management (HCM) System that will provide improved human resources, benefits administration and payroll services to the City's active, retired, and future workforce.
On August 27, 2012, the Controller's Office eMerge division launched and replaced many of the City's existing processes and systems with one online system - eMerge PeopleSoft. From this date on, 600 plus users (mostly departments' human resources and payroll professionals) will use eMerge PeopleSoft to process their transactions.
While the City transitions to the new eMerge PeopleSoft system it is expected that some employees' pay may be affected, as is typical of any transition of this complexity and scale. Our primary goal during this transition is to pay our employees accurately, correctly and timely. We have worked to minimize any disruptions and are prepared to correct any pay errors in the same general timeframe as corrections are currently made.
