As the chief accounting officer and auditor for the City and County of San Francisco, the Controller is responsible for financial systems, procedures, internal controls and reports on the City's fiscal condition. The Controller conducts financial and performance audits of departments, agencies, concessions and contracts. In addition, the Controller provides a variety of support services that include processing the City budget, maintaining the City financial accounting information system and preparing paychecks for all employees.
